Getting ready for St. Patrick’s Day by changing up my home decor.

Front Door

Using my winter wreath, I switched out these florals for the winter white ones and added a farm truck to make this wreath festive.

Framed Art Piece

Using a graphic and a backing of black and white plaid, I created this framed artwork. It’s a great way to individualize a DIY on a budget.

Final Dispaly

I love to dabble in DIY projects and spruce up our home. I also challenge myself to do my projects with a budget-friendly approach. I get inspiration from a variety of sources, such as, Pinterest and DIY blogs like Olivia’s Romantic Home. With that said, here are a few of my recent DIY projects.

As stated, using inspiration (framed artwork) from Olivia’s DIY videos, I created the framed artwork. I used a frame I had on hand. The hearts is from a small gift bag. I embellished with hearts I picked up from my Dollar Tree store. The girl gnome was inspired from a Pinterest post. I wanted to see if I could recreate it. I sketched it first in my sketchbook.

Then using my sketch, I painted her using acrylic paints.

For I while I had just the painting and the framed artwork on a shelf, but it lacked something. So, I paired it with a framed art piece and a floral arrangement.

Now, I am happy with this display.
